Dendron Research Station
“The Dendron Research Station is set in a tropical rainforest. The site of the station is an extinct volcano with a collapsed caldera found in Papua New Guinea.
The research station aims at aiding scientists in the field of canopy research, where the work of the scientists is mainly about cataloguing existing species and discover new such for the sake of science.
Dendron is suspended in mid-air more than 45 meters up in the canopy layer of the rainforest. It utilizes the liana system found in the forest, and derives its building material and techniques from the vernacular architecture found in Papua New Guinea.”
