Please let us introduce LITE – our new stackable chair / armchair designed by Broberg & Ridderstråle Design & Architecture.

LITE is the result from a very detailed design brief from our side in order to develop a stackable chair that combined pleasing aesthetics with rational function and design.

The question that our Design Manager Anders Englund asked himself was: Why are stackable chairs usually so unattractive?

– The challenge we gave Broberg & Ridderstråle was to create a chair that whilst playing with the idea of how a stackable chair usually looks like, also meets the demanding requirements from public interiors, says Anders Englund, Design Manager, OFFECCT.

– Stackable chairs are often narrow and characterized by a slightly anxious expression. We wanted to create a chair with an inviting wide back that nevertheless could be placed close together. The comfort has also been an important ingredient in the development process, says Mats Broberg from designer duo Broberg & Ridderstråle.

Lite is a stackable chair that can be fitted with an arm rest. It is possible to connect multiple chairs. Lite can also be equipped with removable upholstery for the back and seat.
