Offecct at Nordic Light Hotel

Nordic Light Hotel in Stockholm has always been inspired by the Nordic light and used advanced lighting to create positive energy and ambiance. Innovative lighting plays a central role also in the newly developed meeting concept Light Meetings, where several of our products have been used such as:

  • Canti by Björn Dahlström,
  • Lite by Broberg & Ridderstråle, and
  • Bond by Jean-Marie Massaud

The creativity and energy of the guests is brought forward by lighting with the people in focus. The guests can chose the lighting and sound effects they which in each meeting room, thus putting the individual and creativity in focus.

Svante Pettersson, light philosopher at Philips Lighting, and Lars Pihl, creative manager at Nordic Light Hotel, explain that light and architecture have worked hand in hand throughout the whole process, which is unusual.

Sustainability, cooperation with local designers and intelligent technical solutions were indicative during the creation of Light Meetings.

Offecct in France

One of our latest projects abroad is the Mediateque de Mont de Marsan in Aquitaine, France. The 4046 m² large library has been furnished with Oyster easy chairs by Michael Sodeau, Palma easy chairs by Khodi Feiz, and Bond Xtra Light chairs by Jean-Marie Massaud.

The newly built médiatèque is an impressive building home to 85 000 books, 13 300 CDs, 4 500 DVDs, which, along with numerous exhibitions, conferences, art studios and other projects, make for a vivid and modern library.

The library will play a role not only as a traditional library, but as a cultural center where people meet to inform themselves, divert themselves, integrate socially, receive pedagogical help, and much more.

Offecct still in the UEFA Euro 2012

Sweden may be out of the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, but Offecct is in. Offecct’s products namely adorne the Wroclaw National Football Stadium where some of the games of the championship are played!

”The Miejski Stadium in Wroclaw was built for the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship. The Stadium is located in the western part of the city (Pilczyce district) and is the home stadium of the Slask Wroclaw football team. The stadium has a capacity of 42,771 spectators, all seated and all covered.”

BOND and UEFA Euro 2012 in Wroclaw, Poland

The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2012, will be the 14th European Championship for national football teams sanctioned by UEFA. The final tournament will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine between 8 June and 1 July 2012.

Last week a number of Euro 2012 qualifiers were played (Moldova vs. Sweden 1-4; Sweden vs. Finland 5-0 :-).

Last week, also, Martela – our Polish distributor – placed an order for a large number of BOND bar stools – designed by Jean-Marie Massaud – for the National Football Stadium in Wroclaw, Poland. Wroclaw will be one of the Euro 2012 Polish host cities. A modern football stadium is being built at Wroclaw’s Maslice housing estate, at Drzymaly St. It will be in the shape of a Chinese lantern.

Impressions from Salone del Mobile 2011, Milan

Back home after a wonderful week in Milan and our participation at the Salone del Mobile 2011, we look forward to follow-up all new contacts and impressions.

We met a lot of interesting people, and both our stand and our new products where very well recieved.

The Salone del Mobile 2011 was indeed a truly global event, where we had interesting talks with customers, dealers and visitors from all around the world, including Russia, Ukraine, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, South Korea, the United States and from most countries in Europe.

We felt that our collection is very competitive from an international point of view, and not least our O2asis collection drew a lot of visitors to our stand.

Also, our new acoustic panel SOUNDWAVE Bella – designed by Ida Linea Danielsson from Danish architectural firm 3XN – generetad wide interest.

We think that this year’s edition of Salone del Mobile was very succesful and would like to thank every one of you that made this a great event!
