“Next to the downhill slope in Åre we have created a university building intended to be a new campus for Mittuniversitetet. The focus of the university programs departure from the driving forces of Åre; sports, design, tourism and entrepreneurship. Since Åre is and will continue to develop as a living society year-round it is important to attract new inhabitants. A university located next to one of Åre’s best slopes, and characterized by the lifestyle associated with Åre, would be attractive to young people from across the country.”

Sara Silén has studied architecture at KTH School of Architecture in Stockholm and at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
Victoria Söderlindh has studied architecture at KTH School of Architecture and at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim.
