New! The chair Duo Wood by Patrick Norguet

#design #sff12 #sdw12

Last year Patrick Norguet designed the comfortable chair DUO. This year, Norguet has designed DUO WOOD, a natural continuation and variation of DUO.

OFFECCT-chair-duo-wood-patrick-norguet

The chair Duo Wood by Patrick Norguet

DUO WOOD has been given a softer side in this year’s version. The use of wood in the construction has given the chair a more sensual and almost homely feeling. DUO WOOD is a small chair with a clear and easy to read design language. The impression of this clarity is further heightened by the many colors DUO WOOD is available in.

When cooperating with us Norguet wanted to combine the richness of nuances, excellent comfort and softness that characterizes Nordic design with the innovativeness that characterizes France’s design history.

New! The easy chair LAYER by Läufer + Keichel

#design #sff12 #sdw12

The second product we present that has come out of our new collaboration with Läufer + Keichel is the easy chair LAYER. This chair is characterized by three layers, which can be varied in terms of textile and color in order to create a unique design.

The Layer easy chair by Offecct and Läufer + Keichel

The Layer easy chair by Offecct and Läufer + Keichel

The first layer can be compared to a stool, the second layer to a chair and the third layer creates the final form; an easy chair. The layers of the chair have a strong poetic aspect; the layers can be seen as flower petals, or as the different blue layers that emerge when one looks at mountains in the horizon.

New! Lite table by Broberg & Ridderstråle

#sdw12 #sff12 #sthlmdesignweek #stockholmfurniturefair

After last year’s success LITE, the stackable chair, Broberg & Ridderstråle has developed a table that fits perfectly with the LITE chair. The LITE table is a development from the chair LITE and is foldable for easy storage. The table is designed for conference rooms.

OFFECCT_Lite_foldable_table_9363

A front panel can be added to the table in any desired color or in a black mesh. The front panel reinforces the integrity of the person sitting at the table and provides for more design possibilities.

OFFECCT_Lite_foldable_table_9366

Conference tables are often rather dull, and it was therefore important to the design duo to create an interesting and compelling table. In doing so they departed from the chair project, being inspired by the angles of the chair in designing the loop on the table leg that makes LITE more distinguish than other conference tables.

OFFECCT_Lite_foldable_table_9412

LITE is foldable and comes in different sizes. By placing several tables together a symmetry is created giving the impression of a bigger table. LITE weights under 10 kg and is easy for one person to handle.

New! Nobis Table by Claesson Koivisto Rune

#sdw12 #sff12 #sthlmdesignweek #stockholmfurniturefair

One of Claesson Koivisto Rune new products for Offecct this year is NOBIS, a table that was originally created for the new luxury hotel Nobis in Stockholm where Claesson Koivisto Rune were responsible for the interior design.

The design trio designed the table for the Gold Bar of the hotel. NOBIS was initially produced entirely in brass. We all thought that the result was very successful and decided this year to develop a whole product line with the name NOBIS.

Nobis Table by Offecct and Claesson Koivisto Rune

Nobis Table by Offecct and Claesson Koivisto Rune

NOBIS has a distinguished characteristic: its form can be described as a sort of round square, that is to say, the square that constitutes the table top has no sharp angles but is characterized by a round softness.

This particular form is present everywhere in our surrounding, often without us ever noticing it. The form can for example be found in soaps, spoons and old TV-sets. So the form is not new, and can be expressed with the help of a mathematical formula that Claesson Koivisto Rune departed from when the design program for NOBIS was created.

NOBIS fits well into any kind of environments, its form allows for many people to be seated around it at the same time. NOBIS comes in five different sizes, and can also be produced with the table top in the form of a square or a circle.
