The OFFECCT showroom in Tibro plays a very important role in our creative process. The showroom is not only a place to show the furniture, but it is also a source of inspiration, and a meeting and working place.

This important space demands the right lighting. And as a result, this room’s lighting is one of the most energy demanding parts of the factory. It is therefore important to make it more energy efficient.

We have chosen two ways to decrease energy consumption; by beginning to change regular light bulbs for LEDs, and by creating three different levels of luminous intensity.

The most intensive level of the demand controlled lighting is the one used for customer visits. This situation demands full lighting with spotlights so that the customer can fully see the furniture, with their colors and their details.

The second level we call saving mode. It still uses spotlights, but at a lower intensity and this level is used in everyday situations.

The third and last mode is the working lighting. This level does not use spotlights but fluorescent tubes that provide sufficient light for working, but the light provided is flat and not adequate for exhibiting the furniture.
