OFFECCT Designer :: FRONT

#Front is one of the most successful contemporary #design groups. Front consists of Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken, Anna Lindgren.

Front work on all of their projects as a collective, so that discussions and experimentation makes it possible to develop contemporary world-class design.

Front has been published widely in international design press and their work has been exhibited at MoMA in New York, the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

In 2010 Front received the highly prestigious Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize for their innovative and creative design.

The cooperation between OFFECCT and Front has evolved over time, and the launch of the Green Pedestals is a first result of this collaboration.

Green Pedestals enhances the plants with its elegant legs. Green Pedestals can be used as a room element, that for example functions as a room divider or creates a sort of an O₂asis. Some variants have dimensions that fits perfectly at the side of a desk, other fits in height next to a seat or a window. It is possible to add a seat or a table top to the round models, and by placing them in a row or in a group they form a sort of a bench that is surrounded by greenery.

OFFECCT Designer :: Ineke Hans

#Design / The intention of Ineke Hans (born 1966) is that her products shall work in the life we live today. New technology and new materials is of importance in the designs of Ineke Hans, often you can also find a trace of poetry in her work. She could be called the fairy tale teller of design if we were to open our eyes to the magic of everyday objects.

Since 1998 Ineke Hans has her own design studio in Arnhem, The Netherlands. She has continually developed her own collection of furniture and decorative objects but in recent years has also begun cooperating with companies around the world such as OFFECCT, Swarovski and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum New York.

Her work centres around pictograms and archetypes and is often clear and almost graphical. It has evolved in many ways, acquiring the identity most clearly of a designer, with the impulses of a sculptor, and the industrial experience needed to define products with a commercial life. Ineke Hans investigates the psychological roots of products, perceiving and playing with the interaction between people, objects and space. Old and brand new production methods are used in intelligent and unconventional ways. Innovation in materials and techniques and rethinking of existing human values and habits have become most important triggers for new work and make it multi layered.

For OFFECCT, Ineke Hans has designed our SONDWAVE Geo – which also has recieved the Red Dot Design Award.
