Roundabout: OFFECCT

#Tibro #design

The city of Tibro – where OFFECCT’s head quarter is situated – has decided to decorate its roundabouts with the assistance of artist/scultpor Claes Hake.

In late 2009, Hake was commissioned by the municipality of Tibro to create pieces of art that should reflect the history, present and the future of Tibro as a furniture design centre.

Hake took inspiration from some of OFFECCT’s products and on the roundabout at the northern entrance of Tibro OFFECCT’s FLOWER – designed by by Eero Koivisto – and the CLOUD meeting room – designed by Monica Förster – can be found.

The inauguration took place on May 25, 2011, and was conducted by Tibro’s Mayor Claes Jägevall.

Clerkenwell Design Week 2011

Clerkenwell Design Week is a three day festival in London’s creative heart. Big design names and thought leaders host an exciting programme of workshops, presentations, exhibitions and debates. The festival was filled with music, installations, parties and entertainment, truly celebrating design within this cultural hub. In 2010 London’s design community flocked to Clerkenwell over the three days, with 18000 registered and over 150 events, 2011 was even bigger and better! This year’s event was sponsored by JAGUAR and ICON Magazine.

We showcased among others an Extra High version of our sofa Float, which was very well received by our visitors. Also, we got a lot of attention for our BOND series, including the new BOND Extra Lite chair.
